Miracle Cherry Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 small pkg. vanilla pudding
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. lemon juice
    1/2 c. water
    1 (16 oz.) can cherries with juice
    1 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Combine in a saucepan package of vanilla pudding, sugar, salt, lemon juice and water.
    Add can of pitted tart red cherries with juice.
    Cook and stir to a full boil.
    Remove from heat.
    Add butter and a few drops of red food coloring.
    Chill in baked 8-inch pie shell.
