Red Velvet Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    2 heaping Tbsp. cocoa
    1 c. buttermilk*
    2 1/4 c. cake flour
    1/4 c. red food coloring
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. baking soda
    2 eggs
    1 Tbsp. vinegar
Preparation
    *Substitute for buttermilk 1 cup milk and 1 tablespoon lemon juice or vinegar.
