Lizzies - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. oleo
2 eggs, well beaten
1 lb. nuts
1/2 lb. citron (optional)
1 lb. candied cherries
1/2 lb. candied pineapple
1/3 c. bourbon or orange juice
1 lb. seeded raisins, washed and dried
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cloves
1 1/2 Tbsp. milk
Preparation

Cream sugar and butter well; add beaten eggs.
Sift together 1/2 cup flour, soda and spices; add to egg mixture.
Flour raisins with remaining flour (1 cup).
Add milk and bourbon, mixing well; add raisins, nuts, citron, candied cherries and pineapple.
Drop on greased cookie sheet and bake at 325\u00b0 for 25 minutes or until browned.
You may place a cherry on each as you drop them.
