Corn Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 1/4 c. milk
1/4 c. melted shortening
1 1/2 c. yellow corn meal
3/4 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation

Beat eggs and add milk and shortening.
Sift remaining ingredients together; add to egg mixture and beat well.
Pour into hot, greased 8-inch cast-iron skillet and bake in hot oven (400\u00b0) until it shrinks from the sides of the skillet, about 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
Serves 6.
