Aunt Lula'S Pregnant Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    about 10 lb. cucumbers, sliced
    2 onions, peeled and sliced
    4 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. salt
    2/3 tsp. dry mustard
    2/3 tsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Place onions in bottom of 1 gallon jar.
    Top with cucumber slices.
    Combine remaining ingredients and pour over cucumbers. Cover jar and refrigerate for 1 week before serving.
    The pickles keep 9 months.
