Sweet Pickle Relish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. chopped cucumbers
    2 c. chopped onions
    1 red and green pepper, chopped
    1/4 c. salt
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. cider vinegar
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
    1 Tbsp. mustard seed
Preparation
    Combine cucumbers, onion, green and red pepper in large bowl. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup salt and cover with cold water; let stand 2 hours, then drain.
    Press out excess liquid.
    Sterilize jars. Combine sugar, vinegar and spices; heat to boiling.
    Add drained vegetables; simmer 10 minutes.
    Pack hot into 1/2 pint jars. Process 10 minutes in boiling water bath.
    Begin timing when the jars are placed in the boiling water.
