Illinois, Arkansas Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. self-rising flour
    1 1/4 c. milk or buttermilk
    1 heaping Tbsp. shortening
Preparation
    Mix well.
    Should be a medium texture, not runny.
    Pour onto floured surface.
    Sprinkle flour over top of dough and pull flour around biscuit dough, then flip and pat down to 1/2-inch thick. Cut with biscuit cutter and place onto greased cookie sheet. Grease tops.
    Place into preheated oven at 450\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
    Brown bottoms, then put on top shelf and brown top about 5 to 10 minutes until done.
    Serve hot.
