Toasted Butter Pecan Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/3 c. pecans, chopped
1 1/4 c. butter
3 c. sifted enriched flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 c. milk
2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Toast pecans in 1/4 cup butter for 20 to 25 minutes at 350\u00b0. Sift flour, baking powder and salt.
Cream 1 cup of butter. Gradually add sugar, creaming well.
Blend in eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk.
Add vanilla and pecans.
Pour into three layer cake pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes.
