24 Hour Lettuce Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large head lettuce, shredded
    1/2 c. chopped celery
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas
    1 1/2 c. mayonnaise
    sugar to taste
    6 oz. Cheddar cheese, shredded
    1 lb. bacon, crumbled
Preparation
    Add sugar to taste to the mayonnaise.
    Place ingredients in the order given in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
    (I like to use double of everything except lettuce.)
    Refrigerate overnight before serving.
