Hot Apple Cider - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 gal. apple cider
    2 tsp. whole allspice
    2/3 c. sugar
    2 tsp. whole cloves
    2 to 3 inch cinnamon sticks
    2 oranges studded with cloves or apple slices
Preparation
    Heat cider, cloves, allspice, cinnamon and sugar to boil. Cover and simmer 20 minutes.
    Strain cider mixture.
    Put into punch bowl.
    Float apple slices in bowl or put oranges in, your choice.
    Serves 32, 1/2 each serving.
