Alabama Tea Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 sticks butter
    2 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    3 c. self-rising flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add eggs one at a time.
    Add flour and mix well.
    Add vanilla.
    Place bowl in refrigerator overnight. When ready to bake tea cakes, use a teaspoon and take a small ball of dough out about the size of your thumb.
    With your greased hands, roll the dough into a smooth ball and lay on cookie sheet. Press the ball down very flat with a fork.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until edges are brown.
    The chilled dough is easier to work with.
    Also keep fork in cup of ice water and it will work better.
