Ingredients

1 egg, lightly beaten
1/2 c. skim milk
1 large onion, cut into 1/4-inch thick slices and separated into rings
3/4 c. unseasoned dried bread crumbs
1 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. plus 1 tsp. vegetable oil
Preparation

In a 9 x 13-inch glass dish, combine the egg and milk.
Add onion rings; toss to coat and let stand 30 minutes, turning frequently.
In a shallow bowl, combine the bread crumbs, chili powder and salt.
Preheat oven to 450\u00b0.
Spray a baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray.
Dredge onion rings in bread crumb mixture.
Place rings in pan, drizzle with oil and bake 5 minutes. Turn with spatula and bake until golden, about 5 minutes. Serves 4.
