Cake-Like Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/3 c. shortening (part butter) plus 1 tsp. butter
6 Tbsp. cocoa
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
3/4 c. flour (use cake flour for finer texture)
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. broken nuts (optional)

Preparation

Melt shortening, butter and cocoa.
Add sugar and eggs.
Stir in dry ingredients.
Mix well with spoon (beater not required).
