Sugar Plum Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. allspice
    3/4 c. salad oil
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 c. cooked prunes, cut up fine
    2 c. self-rising flour
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    3 eggs
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. sugar
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 stick butter
    1/2 c. buttermilk
    1 Tbsp. white corn syrup
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients and put in a heavy saucepan and bring to a boil.
    Pour over cake immediately after taking out of oven. This may be served from the pan too.
    Keeps well in refrigerator.
