Root Beer - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    4 1/2 tsp. root beer extract
    1/2 cake yeast
    1 gal. lukewarm water
Preparation
    Mix sugar and extract.
    Dissolve yeast in small amount of water.
    Add to sugar mixture.
    Add 1 gallon lukewarm water and mix very well.
    Store in a dark, cool place for 24 hours or longer. This can be bottled and capped after yeast has stopped working which would be longer than the 24 hours mentioned.
