Golden Bubble Ring - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 pkg. active dry yeast
    1/2 c. water
    2 beaten eggs
    1/2 c. milk, scalded
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    4 to 4 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    melted butter or margarine
    1/2 c. shortening
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Soften dry yeast in warm water.
    Combine milk, shortening, 1/2 cup sugar and salt.
    Cool to lukewarm.
    Add 1 cup flour and beat well.
    Add yeast mixture and eggs; beat smooth.
    Mix in remaining flour or enough to make a soft dough., Knead on lightly floured surface until smooth and elastic, 8 to 10 minutes.
    Place in greased bowl, turning once to grease surface.
    Cover and let rise in warm place until double, 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
    Punch down.
    Cover and let rest 10 minutes.
