Mrs. Cates Potato Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 lb. potatoes
    1 large onion, chopped
    small jar sweet gherkin pickles, chopped
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    5 ribs celery, chopped
    1 pt. Dukes mayonnaise
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Boil potatoes in jackets until tender.
    Run cold water over potatoes and peel.
    Cut up in small cubes.
    Add chopped celery, pickles and onion.
    Add mayonnaise, a little pickle juice and sugar.
    Add salt and pepper.
    Place in bowl and cover overnight or for several hours in refrigerator.
