Bill'S Mom'S Spaghetti Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large (28 oz.) cans Italian tomatoes
    1 large (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
    1 (12 oz.) can tomato paste
    2 or 3 bay leaves
    2 tsp. oregano
    1/2 tsp. marjoram
    1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper or to taste
    1/4 tsp. paprika
    crushed red peppers to taste
    2 to 3 cloves garlic
    2 good sized onions, cut up
    1 lb. sliced, fresh mushrooms (optional)
Preparation
    Saute onions and mushrooms in a little olive oil in large heavy pot.
    Drain off oil.
    Add all other ingredients.
    Bring to a boil, then simmer until thick (2 to 2 1/2 hours).
    Keep covered. When slightly cooled, refrigerate.
    Serve next day.
