Boston Baked Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 lb. dry navy beans
    1/4 lb. salt pork or bacon
    1/4 c. molasses
    1 Tbsp. prepared mustard
    1/8 tsp. black pepper
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 small onion, chopped
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. vinegar
Preparation
    Soak beans overnight in water.
    Drain.
    Cook beans in 1-quart water until tender, about 1 to 1 1/2 hours.
    Add more hot water, if necessary.
    Drain and rinse with cold water.
    Put pork in bottom of a deep casserole.
    Add beans and remaining ingredients. Cover and bake at 325\u00b0 for 4 hours.
    Add water if beans become too dry while cooking.
