Frozen Pumpkin Parfait Squares - cooking recipe

1 1/2 c. graham cracker crumbs
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. melted butter or margarine
1 1/2 c. canned pumpkin
1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ginger
1/8 tsp. cloves
1 qt. softened vanilla ice cream
whipped cream
chopped pecans
Preparation

Mix cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar and melted butter together. Press into bottom of 9-inch square pan.
Combine pumpkin, brown sugar, salt and spices.
Fold mixture into ice cream.
Pour into crumb-lined pan.
Cover and freeze until firm.
Cut into squares; top with whipped cream and chopped pecans.
Serves 9 to 12.
