Chocolate Brownies - cooking recipe

2 (1 oz.) sq. unsweetened chocolate
1/2 c. unsalted butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation

Melt chocolate over hot water. Thoroughly cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Blend in melted chocolate, vanilla and flour. Mix nuts into batter. Pour batter into a greased 8 x 8 x 2-inch pan. Bake in slow oven (325\u00b0) 30 to 35 minutes. Frost with chocolate frosting, if desired.
