Ingredients

3/4 c. sugar
1/3 c. margarine, softened
1/3 c. light corn syrup
2 egg whites, slightly beaten
1 tsp. almond extract
2 1/4 c. oats
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
small pkg. slivered almonds
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Beat together sugar, margarine and corn syrup.
Add egg whites and extract.
Combine remaining ingredients.
Drop onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for 14 to 16 minutes.
Yields 1 dozen.
