Peanut Butter-Banana Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    1/8 tsp. salt
    2 large eggs, lightly beaten
    3 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1/2 c. creamy peanut butter
    1 (12 oz.) pkg. vanilla wafers
    6 medium bananas, sliced
    1 (8 oz.) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
    1/2 c. unsalted roasted peanuts, chopped
Preparation
    Combine first three ingredients in a heavy saucepan.
    Add eggs and milk, mixing well.
    Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, 25 minutes or until thickened.
    Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
    Spread about 1/2 teaspoon of peanut butter between 2 vanilla wafers, forming a sandwich.
    Repeat procedure with remaining peanut butter and vanilla wafers.
