Ingredients

1/2 c. oleo
2 c. light brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. vanilla flavoring
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Melt oleo over low heat.
Remove from heat.
Add brown sugar and stir until well blended.
Cool.
Stir in eggs.
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt and stir into the other mixture. Add flavoring and nuts.
Spread in a well-greased 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
Bake until when touched lightly with only a slight imprint remains.
Cut into bars when still warm.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
