Punch Bowl Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box yellow cake mix
    2 small pkg. instant vanilla pudding
    4 c.milk
    1 c. hot water
    2 small boxes strawberry Jell-O
    2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries
    Cool Whip
Preparation
    Bake cake as directed on box.
    Bake in 2 round cake pans.
    Let cool.
    Mix pudding according to directions; set aside.
    Mix 1 cup hot water with Jell-O.
    Add frozen strawberries to Jell-O, then layer as follows in punch bowl:
    1/2 pudding, 1 cake round, 1/2 strawberry and Jell-O mixture, 1 cake round, remaining strawberry and Jell-O mixture, then the remaining pudding.
    Put Cool Whip on top.
    Garnish with nuts and strawberry halves.
