Chiperoo Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. shortening
    1 lb. brown sugar
    2 3/4 c. sifted flour
    2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 eggs
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
    1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation
    Melt
    shortening and stir in brown sugar.
    Mix well and cool. Sift
    together
    flour,
    baking
    powder
    and
    salt.
    To shortening mixture,
    add
    eggs,
    one
    at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Blend in dry ingredients.
    Stir in chips and
    nuts. Pour into greased and floured pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
    When almost cool, cut into bars.
