Dorothy'S Spaghetti Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 to 10 fresh tomatoes
    1/2 small green bell pepper
    1 (2 inch) slice hot pepper
    1 tsp. thyme
    1/2 medium yellow onion
    4 Tbsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. lemon juice
Preparation
    Scald, peel and chop tomatoes.
    Chop green bell pepper, hot pepper and onion.
    Add to tomatoes.
    Put in 2-quart saucepan. Cook until pepper and onion are tender.
    Add sugar, thyme, salt and pepper and lemon juice.
    Cook about 10 minutes more.
    Makes about 1 quart.
