Malissa'S Lemon Chicken Sauce - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    4 tsp. cornstarch
    pinch of salt
    1 c. water
    1/2 tsp. lemon peel (optional)
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    yellow food color (optional for color)
Preparation
    Mix sugar, cornstarch, salt, water and lemon peel in saucepan. Add butter, lemon juice and food color.
    Cook over low heat until smooth, beating occasionally with wire whisk.
    To be served over fried chicken breasts/thighs (boneless) and rice.
