Homemade Pastry For Tarts And Pies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. cold water
    1/2 c. shortening
Preparation
    Combine flour, baking powder and salt.
    Cut in shortening with a fork and knife or use a pastry blender.
    Mixture should resemble coarse meal.
    Sprinkle cold water (1 tablespoon at a time) evenly over surface.
    Stir with a fork.
    Shape pastry into a ball.
