Strawberry Streusel Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 large egg, beaten
    1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. butter, melted
    1 1/4 tsp. almond extract
    1 c. fresh strawberries, sliced
Preparation
    Combine first 4 ingredients in a large bowl.
    Make a well in the center of mixture. Set aside.
    Combine egg, milk, butter and almond extract. Add to dry ingredients, stirring until just moistened. Fold in strawberries. Spoon batter into paper lined muffin pan, filling 3/4 full.
    Sprinkle Streusel Topping evenly over batter. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes. Cool in pan on a wire rack 10 minutes. Remove from pan and let cool completely on wire rack.
    Yields 1 dozen muffins.
