Stuffed Cabbage Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 qt. shredded cabbage
    1 large onion, thinly sliced
    1/2 lb. sausage meat
    1/2 lb. ground round
    1 egg
    1 c. bread crumbs
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 Tbsp. oleo
Preparation
    Remove the large leaves of cabbage (8) and blanch with hot water to soften.
    Shred cabbage and slice onion.
    Brown in skillet in oleo until golden.
    Add salt and pepper to cabbage mixture; then add bread crumbs and put aside to cool.
    When cool, add sausage, beef and egg and mix well.
    Place a portion in each cabbage leaf and roll.
    Tie with a piece of string.
    Put on rack in pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
    I place a piece of foil to cover loosely to keep cabbage from burning; remove last 10 minutes.
