Orange Slice Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. orange slice candy, cut up
8 oz. chopped dates
2 c. chopped nuts
2 sticks margarine, softened
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. baking powder
2 c. coconut
3 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. buttermilk
Preparation

Mix all ingredients together well.
Put in greased tube or loaf pan.
Bake at 250\u00b0 for 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
While cake is baking, combine 1 cup orange juice and 2 cups powdered sugar. When cake is done and still hot, poke holes in top, pour mixture over cake.
Let set overnight.
May be wrapped well and frozen.
