Papa'S Prune Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 cup sugar
1 cup oil
3 eggs
2 cups flour
Pinch of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup nuts
1/2 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. soda
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup cooked prunes, pitted and cut up (fig preserves may be substituted)

Preparation

Combine ingredients in order listed. Put in greased and floured 9 x 13 pan.
Bake at 300\u00b0 until sides shrink and top springs back, 45 minutes or longer.
