Clam Chowder - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. bacon
1 large onion
3 cans minced clams
6 baking potatoes
2 cans Carnation milk
3 c. water
Preparation

Chop the bacon and onion into bite size pieces.
Put chopped bacon pieces in skillet; saute and remove from skillet.
Blot grease from bacon with paper towel.
Add chopped onion to bacon grease and cook onion until translucent.
Blot grease from onion. Peel potatoes and cut into cubes.
Put bacon, onion and potatoes in a large crock-pot.
Add 3 cups water to bacon, onion and potatoes. Cook on high 3 hours.
Add the drained minced clams and milk. Continue to cook 2 more hours on low setting.
Salt and pepper to taste.
