English Pea Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head romaine
    1 onion
    1/2 c. celery
    1/2 c. green pepper
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas
    1 to 2 c. salad dressing
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    4 oz. cheese
    8 slices bacon
Preparation
    Line bowl with lettuce.
    Then put onion, celery, green pepper and peas in layers.
    Tear rest of lettuce and use it as next layer.
    Then add sugar, salad dressing and cheese.
    Fry bacon and crumble over the top.
    Cover and refrigerate overnight.
    Toss just before serving.
