Shoo-Fly Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. flour
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. shortening
    1 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. cloves
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    2 c. warm water
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. Brer Rabbit dark molasses
Preparation
    Mix by hand the flour, sugar, salt and shortening.
    Reserve 1 1/2 cups of crumbs.
    Add ginger, cloves and cinnamon.
    Dissolve soda in the warm water.
    Add it to the mixture.
    Add the molasses and beat until smooth.
    Put in greased 13 x 9-inch pan.
    Sprinkle reserved crumbs on top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
