Jam Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 eggs
    2 c. sugar
    5 c. self-rising flour
    2 c. apples (dried, cooked apples, sweetened)
    2 c. raisins
    2 c. jam
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 c. cocoa
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 c. peach preserves
    1 tsp. each of all kinds of spices
Preparation
    This recipe will make 8 layers, 2 cakes.
