Date Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 3/4 c. sifted flour
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1 well beaten egg
3/4 c. milk
1/3 c. salad oil
Preparation

Preheat oven to 400\u00b0.
Sift dry ingredients into mixing bowl; make well in center.
Combine egg, milk and salad oil.
Add all at once to dry ingredients.
Stir only until dry ingredients are moistened.
Add 3/4 cup coarsely chopped dates.
Stir quickly into batter.
Fill greased muffin pans or paper bake cups 2/3 full. Bake about 25 minutes.
Makes 12.
