Ginger Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. shortening
    1 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1 c. dark molasses
    1/2 c. strong coffee
    5 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
    1 Tbsp. baking soda
    2 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
    1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add egg, then molasses and coffee (instant coffee made double strength is good).
    Add one cup flour and
    rest
    of
    dry ingredients.
    Mix well, then add remaining flour.
    Form
    into balls the size of a walnut, using flour to prevent
    sticking.\tPlace on a greased cookie sheet, flatten slightly,
    and
    bake in a 350\u00b0 oven until light brown, but still soft
    in
    the center.
    Cool on rack or brown paper. Makes about 5 dozen medium large cookies.
