Icebox Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. cold water
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/4 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1/2 c. boiling water
    3 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 Tbsp. baking soda
    1/2 Tbsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast in cold water.
    Cream shortening and sugar. Beat in egg.
    Add 1/2 cup boiling water and beat.
    Sift dry ingredients together, then fold into liquids.
    Place dough in refrigerator
    covered for 4 hours or longer.
    Allow 2 hours to rise at room temperature.
    After rising, flour hands and shape into rolls.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 8 minutes.
    Makes approximately 35 small rolls.
