4 oz. Baker's German's sweet chocolate
1 oz. unsweetened chocolate
2 egg whites (large or extra large), at room temperature
pinch of salt
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
7 oz. (2 2/3 c. loosely packed) coconut
Preparation

Divide oven into thirds and preheat to 325\u00b0.
Line two cookie sheets with aluminum foil.
Break up sweet chocolate.
Place both chocolates in top of a double boiler over hot water on moderate heat.
Stir until completely melted and smooth.
Remove from heat and set aside to cool to room temperature.
