Ingredients

1 c. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
2 egg yolks
1 c. warm water
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Mix sugar, cornstarch and beaten yolks with a small amount of the water.
Mix smooth, then add remaining water. Cook in double boiler until thick, stirring constantly. Add butter and vanilla. Let cool.
Pour into baked pie crust.
Cover with meringue from the egg whites and brown.
