Chicken Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    4 Tbsp. shortening
    1 egg
    2/3 c. milk
    butter or margarine
    chicken, cut up
    chicken broth
Preparation
    Prepare dough by blending flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, shortening, egg and milk.
    Roll out and cut into strips. Place some chicken pieces in a casserole dish and layer with strips of dough, dotted with pieces of butter.
    Make 3 layers ending with dough.
    Pour chicken broth over all.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 45 minutes or until crust is brown.
    Serve with gravy.
