One Egg Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. sugar
    1/4 c. shortening
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 egg
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 c. milk
    2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add unbeaten egg.
    Add flavoring and beat thoroughly.
    Sift flour; measure and sift with salt and baking powder.
    Add alternately with milk to creamed shortening and sugar.
    Pour into well oiled loaf pan.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 35 minutes.
