Congealed Strawberry Buttermilk Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large pkg. strawberry gelatin
    1 -20 oz. can crushed pineapple, undrained
    2 c. buttermilk
    1 c. chopped pecans
    1 -9 oz. carton whipped topping
Preparation
    Mix gelatin and pineapple in large sauce pan.
    Heat on stove until gelatin is dissolved, do not boil.
    Allow to cool.
    Mix in buttermilk, pecans, and whipped topping until blended.
    Pour into an 8 x 12 inch oblong dish or clear glass bowl.
    Refrigerate. Makes a beautiful light salad.
