Peanut Brittle Candy - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. dry roasted peanuts
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. Karo syrup (white)
1 tsp. butter or oleo
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1 can Pam to spray pan (optional; you do not need to use this, you can grease pan with shortening or oleo by hand)
Preparation

Mix sugar and Karo syrup together in a 1-quart measuring cup or a 1 1/2-quart bowl.
Put in microwave for 4 minutes on High. Take out and add 1/2 cup peanuts and stir.
Put back in microwave for 3 1/2 minutes on High.
Take out; add butter and vanilla and stir.
Put back in microwave for 1 1/2 minutes on High.
Take out; add baking soda and stir quickly.
It will get foamy right away, then pour into a greased cookie sheet or cake pan.
Cool for at least 15 minutes, then it should be hard and can be cut or broken in pieces by hand.
