White Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe

1/4 lb. white chocolate
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 1/4 c. cake flour
1 tsp. baking powder
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. chopped pecans
10 oz. Angel Flake coconut
Preparation

Melt chocolate over boiling water.
Cream butter and sugar. Then add egg yolks, slightly beaten.
Add melted chocolate to butter and eggs.
Sift flour and baking powder together; add alternately with buttermilk, beating well by hand, then add pecans, coconut and vanilla.
Beat egg whites until stiff.
Fold into batter.
Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes or longer in long pan or round for layers.
