Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/4 c. hot water
1 c. oatmeal
1 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1/2 c. oil
1 1/3 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. nuts
1/2 c. coconut (Angel Flake)
Preparation

Pour hot water over oatmeal.
Let stand 5 to 10 minutes.
Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
Pour in prepared pan, 9 x 13-inch, and bake in 350\u00b0 oven 30 to 35 minutes.
After cake cools, spread topping over (receipt follows) and place under broiler until it caramelizes.
