20 Minute Dutch Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1/3 c. shortening
1 egg
1 c. milk
2 c. flour
3 Tbsp. baking powder
Preparation

Beat egg, then sugar, then shortening.
Add milk; mix.
Add flour plus baking powder.
Mix until smooth.
(Batter will be thick.)
Spread batter into a greased 11 x 7-inch pan.
Sprinkle batter with enough brown sugar until mostly covered.
Then sprinkle generously with cinnamon.
Bake for 20 minutes at 400\u00b0. Sugar and cinnamon will bubble down into surface.
Best served warm.
