Sauerkraut Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large jar Vlasic sauerkraut
    4 grated carrots
    1 green pepper, chopped
    2 purple onions, chopped
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. vinegar
    1/3 c. Wesson oil
Preparation
    Wash kraut in warm water unless all salt is removed.
    Squeeze out water.
    Add other vegetables.
    Mix sugar, oil and vinegar. Cook until sugar is dissolved.
    Add 1 teaspoon celery seed and pour over mixture.
    Refrigerate overnight.
